The late Harry “Roy” Chetty was one of the industry’s pioneers, establishing a small drum reconditioning operation on Umgeni Road in Durban and helping lay the foundation for a business built on hard work, quality and integrity.

Throughout his career, Harry played an important role in the growth of the industry through ventures such as Yulana Drums, Blopac King, LG & H, JRS Drums and Pails and Drum Services, where he served as directors. His dedication to excellence and commitment to customer service earned him the respect of industry peers and customers alike.

Following his passing in 2000, the family’s passion for the industry continued. In 2012, Jeremy Chetty founded JRS Drum Refurbishers, building on the values, knowledge and experience passed down through generations. What began as a vision to continue a proud family tradition has grown into a trusted name within the industrial packaging sector.
